It's Official! "Downtown South" Receives City Charter:

ORLANDO, FL - On October 13, 2008, The "Downtown South" Board of Directors joined Mayor Buddy Dyer and District One Commissioner Phil Diamond at city hall to receive official recognition from the City of Orlando, as a newly chartered member of the city's growing Main Street Project. Main Street is a project of the City of Orlando Business Development Division and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.



Downtown South Chairman Michael Cassavaugh signs official documents as Mayor Buddy Dyer and Commissionaer Phil Diamond look on.

Attending with Mayor Dyer at the signing ceremony at Orlando City Hall on October 13, 2008 were Commissioner Phil Diamond, Main Street Economic Development Coordinator Pauline Eaton, and Board of Director members Buck Miller, Paul Dalton, Michael Cassavaugh, Rick Pullman, Jonathan Toothman, Linda Kobert, and Jean Yglesias.
